This template produces a small note that I can add to talk page comments and my awards to link to a diff of edits mentioned in the comment. This assists in understanding the context of the comment when reading it in archives many years later.

Usage

At least one type of link should be specified, whether it be using addedoldid=, the contrib parameters, or the unnamed parameters.

Use by other editors

This template includes hard-coded references to "PartTimeGnome", so is not directly reusable by other Wikipedians. If you'd like something similar for yourself, you can copy the template to your own userspace (just click the link), then change references to "PartTimeGnome" to your own username. Please attribute "PartTimeGnome" as the author of the original template. The easiest way to do this is to link back to the original template in your edit summary when you take your own copy.
