I'm Padraigin1 (Patricia).
About me edit
I come from Ireland but now live in Edinburgh. I trained as an chemical engineer and continue my interest in materials science, particularly in plastics and polymers. My working life now is much more focused on the arts, humanities and social sciences. My job involves collaborations with Edinburgh's wonderful festivals. I love bringing people together to do amazing things.
I sing in choirs and enjoy going to cultural events and in Edinburgh, we're spoiled for choice
Interests edit
I'm interested in both science and the arts and particularly love things which bring both of these together. That might be
- jewellery made from materials more commonly used for aircraft
- art based on geological phenomenon
- digital arts
A great example of an amazing digital arts project was The Harmonium Project[1] which opened Edinburgh International Festival in 2015.
