Pieces of Eight (Computer Game)

Pieces of Eight is a 1986 text-based adventure game designed in 1985 by Paul Holland, programmed by Geoff Body and produced by Jacaranda Software. It was released on a range of early microcomputers including the Apple II, BBC Micro, Commodore 64, IBM PC and later the Mac. The game is wholly owned by the Queensland Department of Education.

Gameplay

Pieces of Eight accepts simple natrual language commands (such as GO NORTH, TAKE THE ROPE, etc...) using a sentence parser created by David Smith.
