• Marched in the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
• 4 time semi-finalist at BOA Grand Nationals
• 2008 Townson Regional Champion
• WGI Open Finalists

Directors

These groups are directed by Mr. M. Lance Britt, Mr. David S. Duffy, and Mr. Garrett L. Griffin, with the help of other staff members and alumni including Mr. Bill Register, Mr. Joey Powell, and Ms. Katie Hurr.

Guests

The ensembles often have guest speakers or conductors that come and meet with them. Some of the notable ones include Mrs. Lance from the Mississippi State University, Mr. Patrick Sheridan[1], and Mr. Scott Lang [2].

Pat Sheridan is a world renowned tuba performer. He is also the founder of the breathing gym, a set of exercises designed to strengthen your lungs, to make it easier to play. Mr. Sheridan has visited West Johnston a few times to teach these excercises to the students at West.
