About me
edit
I am currently a Certified Nurse Aide as well as a nursing student who aspires to become a Certified registered nurse anesthetist. I have a long journey ahead of me, as I have four classes until I earn my Associate of Science in Nursing. After I earn my A.D.N., I plan on working on a medical surgical unit to gain experience, while I attend courses for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing bridge program. Nursing and the medical field in general are constantly evolving and changing, so it makes for an exciting career path that will never be boring. Each new patient provides another mystery to be solved and provides a memorable learning experience. My favorite clinical experiences thus far have been on a Medical-surgical unit & on a Psychiatric unit.
Topics I find to be fascinating, other than nursing, include; anatomy & physiology, chemistry, Biochemistry, Pathophysiology, Psychiatric disorders, & Pharmacokinetics.
Nursing school resources
edit
A person can never have enough resources while going through nursing school. Here are a few I found to be helpful:
- Merck Manuals (professional version) (click here to visit the website)
- OpenStax CNX. Anatomy & Physiology. - This is an Open educational resource. Openstax provides books that cover a variety of subjects: Biology, Psychology, Chemistry,Sociology.
- RegisteredNurseRN - She does a great job reviewing the patho, nursing assessments, and interventions.
