Le Lyrial is a cruise ship under construction for Ponant, due to enter service in 2015.[1]

The name Le Lyrial is taken from the Lyra constellation, with the interior decor also being inspired by the constellation, particularly the star, Vega.

Construction and History

edit

The ship is currently being built by the Fincatieri Shipyard at Trieste, Italy.

She will be entering service in May 2015.[2]

Facilities

edit

If Le Lyrial is designed in a similar way as her classmates, she will have two restaurants. The Gastronomic Restaurant, which is the main dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving French and international cuisine, and the Grill Restaurant, which is the ships casual eating venue for breakfast, buffet lunch and themed dinners.

This is along with a theater, which is the main show room for conferences and live entertainment, a Fitness & Beauty Corner which includes Kinesis equipment, running machines, bicycles, hairdressers, massage rooms, Balneo room, Hammam and a Relaxation room. There will also be the two lounges, the main lounge, which serves afternoon tea, includes live music, a dance floor and a cocktail bar and the panoramic lounge, which has a library, internet desk, cocktail bar, and live entertainment. Finally, there will be a pool deck bar and a leisure area which has a Wii area and a Photograph shop.
