Steve Meakin (born 19 July 1961) is an English former professional snooker player.
Career
editBorn in 1961, Meakin turned professional in 1987. He reached a ranking of 101st for the 1990/1991 season, and enjoyed the best performance of his career at the 1993 Dubai Classic; there, he beat John Lardner, Jimmy Michie, Tony Meo and Silvino Francisco before losing 3–5 in the last 48 to Alain Robidoux.
Having slipped down the rankings to 164th, Meakin was relegated from the tour at the end of the 1996/1997 season. He re-qualified on two occasions, but lost his professional status for the final time in 2001, aged 39.
