Pandora Essence Collection

edit

In November 2013, Pandora launched their Essence Collection which features a wide range of jewellery. The slogan for this collection is, "Express the essence of you." [1] Its main feature was a thin, sterling silver bracelet with an assortment of 24 charms, hand-made from precious metals and genuine stones.[2] The charms represent the characteristics of strength, patience, loyalty, generosity, courage, love, positivity, friendship, dedication, health, and many more. The purpose of this collection was to help women celebrate their cherished memories and express their inner values and beliefs with their bracelets. Pandora also teamed up with Ikon Communications to promote this collection by using the undeniably strong bond of female friendship. This pairing was created around the idea of appreciating someone special and that describing positive qualities in others is often much easier than describing them in yourself. Pandora hoped that this collection would encourage potential gift givers to remind their friends of the values they admire in them. The Pandora Essence Collection jewellery pieces range from C$40-C$360.

The Autumn Collection

edit

In November 2008, Pandora launched their first ever Autumn Collection. This collection is a recurring collection that has new jewellery pieces coming out every year during the autumn season. Each year, these jewellery pieces reflect the theme of nature. The Autumn 2015 Collection is inspired by fairy tales and fables where the past meets the future, specifically, the Majestic Feathers series. Its slogan is, "What tale will you tell?"[3] This collection features pieces that are complex and detailed using 0.925 sterling silver, 14K gold, and cubic zirconia stones.[4] For this collection, Pandora teamed up with celebrity stylist Nicole Chavez. During this time, Pandora also became the official jewellery sponsor for New York Fashion Week and encouraged many people to share their autumn looks over social media with the hashtags #ArtofYou and #Pandorastyle. The Autumn Collection jewellery pieces range from C$30-C$440.

The Summer Collection

edit

At the end of May in 2012, Pandora launched their first Summer Collection. This collection is a recurring collection that has new jewellery pieces coming out every year during the summer season. Every year, these jewellery pieces reflect the theme of tropical treasures including things like snakes, travel-inspired icons, and exotic palm trees. The Summer 2015 Collection is inspired by the spirit of sun-kissed tropical holidays. This collection contains two main themes: Graphic Palms and Tropical Burst. The Graphic Palms series features an openwork palm leaf design and the Tropical Burst series is made up of all the beautiful, bright colours summer brings that was motivated by sunlight glinting off the ocean. Pandora teamed up with American fashion designer Nanette Lepore for this collection showcasing jewellery at Lepore's next fashion presentation, as well as, her fashion runway show in Palm Springs, California.[5] The Summer Collection jewellery pieces range from C$40-C$275.

The Mother's Day Collection

edit

Pandora’s first Mother’s Day Collection was launched in April 2009. This collection is a recurring collection that lasts every year from the beginning of April until the end of May. The jewellery pieces always reflect the themes of family and love motifs. The Mother's Day 2015 collection promoted mothers and their uniqueness. This collection received a lot of attention as Pandora promoted it through the use of a video titled, "The Unique Collection" that was viewed more than 25 million times.[6] The video features 6 children being blindfolded and then asked to identify their mothers from a lineup of moms by touch and smell alone. Many viewers state that the clip feels less like an ad and more like a lovely social study that underscores the familiar and unique bond between moms and their kids. The video suggests that at Pandora, you can find jewellery pieces that reflect your unique relationship with your mother. The Mother's Day collection jewellery pieces range from C$30-C$440.

The Disney Collection

edit

The Disney Collection is one of Pandora's newest collections that launched in October 2014. The hope for this collection was to excite consumers and give them a new way to inspire others by celebrating those imaginative moments that can make every day feel magical. Most of the pieces are inspired by the iconic images of Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse representing optimism, goodwill, and happiness, Disney's openwork designs, such as, "Dream", "Believe", and "Be Magical", and the Disney Princesses, specifically, Cinderella from Cinderella, Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Elsa and Anna from Frozen.[7] The purpose of this collection was to capture the essence of Disney by allowing all those who still believe in fairy tales to connect with them. The Disney Collection jewellery pieces range from C$40-C$105.
