Monique Maria Lima de Araújo (born 30 May 1992) is a Brazilian weightlifter for Confederação Brasileira de Levantamento de Pesos and the Brazilian national team.[1][2]
Born into a sporting family, Moniques' sister, Tamires Morena Lima is a Brazilian handballer for Dunărea Brăila , who also participated at the 2013 World Weightlifting Championships.[3]
In 2015 she broke the Brazilian notional record at the snatch 110kg division also landing 1st place in the 2015 South American championship.
She competed in the 2017 Pan American championship in Miami landing 2nd place in the competition.
Today Monique resides in Miami Florida training and preparing for her next upcoming events.
