About me

edit

I am a librarian and the library instruction coordinator at the California Maritime Academy.

I teach a freshman class called Information Fluency (LIB100) which covers the ACRL Information Literacy Standards: Defining an information need, finding and evaluating information, presenting information effectively, and using information legally and ethically.

In Spring 2012, LIB100 students edited Wikipedia articles to improve their sourcing and develop an article from a stub, mainly in the areas of Marine Engineering Technology, WikiProject Ships, WikiProject Shipwrecks, Category:Engineering failures, WikiProject Maritime trades.

More student work in Spring 2013, covering many more areas.

Our class is at it again, Spring 2014.
