Codee Stanfield, better known by his stage name Clone, is an American rapper from Modesto, California. He is currently signed to Media Peeps.

Biography

Clone was born in Modesto, California. He spent much of his childhood growing up in the Central Valley, California. Stanfield is caucasian and, and the name Clone[3] is a reference to his original stage name "Cyclone". Clone was an avid skateboarder and made attempts at a professional skateboarding career but abandoned it when he began pursuing his music career. Clone began releasing mixtapes independently in 2007 through 2009. He was briefly signed to Urban Source Entertainment[4] in 2009 and left the label the same year after Media Peeps acquired[5] Urban Source Entertainment and NSR Films.[6]

Since being with Media Peeps, his career has catapulted bringing his myspace profile views from 150,000 to over 850,000. In 2009, Clone was featured on the cover of Karma Magazine for his upcoming album release Threats[7] and released his first music video for the album titled song. In 2009 he launched the album, and later in May 2010 he won "Grinder of the Year" from the 209 Hip Hop Awards. In 2010, Stanfield confirmed he was signed with Media Peeps, he announced that he is working in his second studio album with the label, and has a desire to work with artists like Eminem and 50 Cent. Meanwhile, his ultimate goal is to get signed with a larger label like Interscope Records, or Universal Music Group
