Jonathan Pageau is a professional icon carver and liturgical artist.^[1] He is also a public speaker on traditional symbolism and contemporary re-enchantment.^[2] Pageau is one of the only professional icon carvers in North America.^[3]

Early life and education

In his early twenties, Jonathan Pageau lived in Congo.^[4] He attended the Painting and Drawing program at Concordia University in Montreal, graduating with distinction.^[5] At some point during his studies, Pageau became disillusioned with modern art.^[6]
