Jeong Yun-o (hangul: 정윤 오) nació el 14 de febrero de 1997, más conocido por su nombre artístico Jaehyun (hangul:재현), es un cantante, compositor y actor de Corea del Sur. Es mejor conocido como miembro del grupo de chicos de Corea del Sur NCT y sus subunidades NCT U y NCT ​​127. Jaehyun hizo su debut en abril de 2016 como miembro de la unidad rotativa NCT U y se convirtió en miembro de la unidad fija con sede en Seúl. NCT 127 en julio de 2016. Jaehyun nació el 14 de febrero de 1997 en Seúl, Corea del Sur. Aunque nació como Jeong Jaehyun (정재현), más tarde cambió legalmente su nombre a Jeong Yun-o (정윤 오). Vivió en Connecticut durante cuatro años[1]. Hizo una audición para SM Entertainment con "Mama" de Exo. Se graduó de la Escuela de Artes Escénicas de Seúl.[2][3]

2012 - 2016: Pre-debut

Jaehyun fue elegido para SM Entertainment en 2012, descubierto por exploradores callejeros frente a su escuela. El 9 de diciembre de 2013, fue presentado como miembro del equipo de aprendices previo al debut SMROOKIES[1]. En 2014, participó con otros miembros de NCT en el programa Exo 90: 2014, donde interpretaron canciones de los 90s[2]. Desde el 21 de enero hasta el 1 de julio de 2015, él y su compañero de grupo Doyoung fueron MCs en Show Champion[3]. En julio de 2015, él y su compañero de grupo Ten compitieron en Hope Basketball All-Star[4]. En diciembre de 2015, Jaehyun interpretó "A Whole New World" en The Mickey Mouse Club de Disney Channel Korea.

2016 - 2018: Debut en NCT

En abril de 2016, Jaehyun debutó oficialmente como miembro de NCT, en la primera subunidad NCT U, con los sencillos "The 7th Sense" y "Without You"[5][6][7]. El 10 de julio debutó como miembro de la segunda subunidad, NCT 127, con su primer EP, NCT #127.[8][9]

En marzo de 2017, Jaehyun se unió al programa de radio NCT Night Night como DJ junto con el miembro Johnny.[10] En noviembre de 2017, lanzó la canción "Try Again" para el proyecto SM Station.[11] En diciembre, apareció en el video musical de "The Little Match Girl" de Wendy y Baek A-yeon.[12]

En enero de 2018, Jaehyun participó en la subunidad NCT U nuevamente, con el lanzamiento del sencillo "Timeless" como parte del proyecto SM Station.[13]

2019 - presente: Actividades en solitario

En octubre de 2019, Jaehyun se convirtió en uno de los tres MC de Inkigayo de SBS, junto con Minhyuk de Monsta X y Naeun of April, presentando el programa semanalmente todos los domingos.[14]

El 4 de septiembre de 2020, se confirmó que Jaehyun hará su debut como actor en el próximo drama de KBS2 Dear. M, que se lanzará en 2021, con el papel de Cha Min-ho, un estudiante de segundo año en el Departamento de Ciencias de la Computación de la Universidad de Seoyeon.[15]
