Personal life
I am Director of Rajmal Lakhichand Group, jeweler of repute, estb. in 1854. Our other business activities include Real Estate, Agriculture in Agro Forestry & Horticulture. I am the founder Member & Director of Gem and Jewellery federation of India. I am secretary of Rajmal Lakhichand Charitable Trust, Indira Lalwani Medical Research Centre and a Member of Gramin Vikas Tarun Mitra Mandal, Jamner. In College days I was active in political activity and served as District General Secretary & Vice President of NSUI. In the same period I was also elected as CR and have established Ganesh Mandals for Social activities. Recently elected as a Member of Legislative Council from Jalgaon Local Authorities, as an independent candidate.Worked as an member of PAC committee,Ahar committee & Resigned from the post of MLC, And stood for Lok Sabha election as an NCP + Congress candidate.

Father Ishwarlal Shankarlal Jain :
Despite of being his first election and an anti wave, he was the sole representative elected as an MLA of Congress (I) from Jalgaon District in 1978. In 1978 when Indiraji was arrested and put behind bars by Janata Party Government, He led thousands of congress workers in ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’. He was the Chairman of Estimate Committee of Maharashtra State in 1978. He was elected as MLA again in 1980 from Tal. Jamner, Dist. Jalgaon. He was a member of AICC for many years and also served as Treasurer to Maharashtra pradesh congress commitee (MPCC) before joining NCP along with Sharadraoji Pawar. He Served as a Treasurer and Vice President of NCP Maharashtra State. He is associated with many social corporative organizations. He was chairman of District Co-Operative Bank, Jalgaon. Presently he is a Member of Parliament (Rajyasabha) since July 2010. He is on the consultative committee of Defense & Finance. And on the standing committee of Commerce. Also he is Director of Maharashtra State Co-Operative Bank.
Great Grand Father Late Shri. Rajmal Lakhichand Lalwani (Jain):
He was a Freedom Fighter and associated with Gandhiji and Nehruji. He was the Member of Constituent Assembly, Delhi before Independence. We take the pride that he was instrumental to introduce “Hindi” as a language of business in Parliament, by representing the matter to right forum and convincing them to allow him, to deliver his speech in Hindi for the first time. He was also MLA of Bombay Province. He was Treasurer of the Faizpur Congress Adhiveshan.The first Rural congress Adhivashan.
