Happening of Alcohol, a revolutionary work of present time

edit

Alcohol[3] is his debutant[4] novel. He has begun his career as a serious writer very late when he has realized that expression of his hidden talent is very significant in triggering a great revolution in the pitiable scenario of,

  • Cultural devastation[5] across the globe
  • Alarming rise of corruption and nepotism
  • Widening gap between rich and poor, unending episodes of poverty
  • Exhausted run of human beings for accumulating money and materials for small stomach.
  • Chaos of Alcoholism, terrorism, raping and injustice
  • Ill-treatment of cheap labor of third world, loosing moral values and ethics

Alcohol is not a biographical work as speculated by many of his close people associated around him. However there are many incidents and coincident which are frequently connected throughout this great work resembling many contemporary issues of his politically volatile and diverse country. His debut novel ‘Alcohol’ depicts the realities of human life beyond chocolates, butterflies,[6] girls and cars...

The plot revolves around the Protagonist’s problems and struggles,[7]—of a lonely, long journey, his transition from a negative to a positive person and his account of ‘the unspoken truth.’ The novel focuses on the aspiration of the X and Y generation and the evolution of a new culture and changing habits. Alcohol is a detailed account of the struggles of a young man and his family, entrapped in the depressing trauma of alcoholism. It depicts this trauma and also touches on the plight of the youth of Devasam and Oregaon, many of who go through this struggle, devoid of dreams and a meaning in life. The only bright spot is hope.[8] The thread of story ‘alcoholism’ connects two places through the turbulent life of siblings Kevin and Aldrin. Kevin’s unending sagas of miseries and strange life experience or events make this fiction different than any contemporary work deals human life diplomatically. Alcohol and its devastation reveal about losing moral values and cultural deterioration of modern life in the grip of ultimate greed of human beings. Author’s admonition about prevailing disparities between rich and poor, ultimate materialism, ill effects of capitalism and resultant of terrorism cannot be neglected or ignored by any peace lover across the globe. Alcohol is a revolutionary work in this literature drained modern computer world where creative art is almost side lined or vanished. As author described in his work, basic understanding about poetry for X and Y generation is nothing but a ridiculous Shayari written over back panels of trucks or trailers plying on the gutted and traffic jam hit roads of his country. Author strongly condemns the violent and corruption plagued politics, Alcohol and drug based economy, exploitation and ill treatment of human resources throughout his work.

Author’s candid passion over literature

edit

His passion over great works of Dostoevsky, Franz Kafka, Karl Marx, Khalil Gibran, Sylvia Plath and Marquez are well influenced throughout the thought process in order to shape up protagonist as a prophet of modern world who is still destined to wander himself in the narrow streets of his devastated birthplace or residential place like a stranger in disguise.

Author’s candid influence or worship over noted international/national/home grown creative writers such as Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Arundhati Roy, Chengampuzha, Vayalar, Kadammanitta,Kunjunni Mash, ONV Kurup, Sugatha Kumari, M.T.Vasudevan Nair, OV.Vijayan, M.Mukundan, Balachandran Chullikad, Venu V.Desam, Baburaj.TV, NK.Desam etc. are frequently surfaced over his work inadvertently.

Transition from Atheism to Spiritualism

edit

Though the author is hailing from a traditional joint family, his inclination towards spiritual zest is genuine in order to balance the body and soul in the chaotic scenario of advanced world. Author believes that his unexpected twist and journey towards spiritualism is very relevant in this modern world where significance of relationship is getting feeble gradually by the influence of glittering money, multiplying greed factor, uncontrollable lust and intolerance. His concern over meaningless development of human beings i.e. wide gap between highly advance world that is doing great experiments in the space shuttles and shelter less children (evolving Y generation) are still sleeping on the dirty footpaths and getting abused in the darkness of night…

Imbibing discipline from Japanese culture, an attainment

edit

Authors humble career as an executive in country’s topmost MNC, helped him to mould and refined compassionate person of time. His request of adopting Japanese philosophy in the area of discipline is very relevant in the misdirected modern young Indians.

In the emerging modern world of high expectations, author’s emphasize on Japanese management philosophy such as 5-S, 3-K, 3-G and Kaizen are really momentous than just forcing children to mug up age-old curriculum of 'Panipat war' like stuff at their tender age.

Author’s premonition over human’s meaningless or exhaustive run for material accumulation, un quenching greed factor, constant abusing mother earth in the name of ‘great developments’ by the emerging modern populace cannot be overlooked by intellectuals across the globe who dream a better world of tomorrow.
