- We propose to expand on the economic burden of endometriosis. Currently the analysis is superficial and only covers loss of work days and does not analyze the many other direct and indirect costs of the chronic condition.
- Delete the current paragraph on “The Economic burdens of Endometriosis”
- Add: The economic burden of Endometriosis is widespread and multifaceted. [1] Endometriosis is a chronic disease that has direct and indirect costs which include loss of work days, direct costs of treatment, symptom management, and treatment of other associated conditions such as depression or chronic pain. [1] One factor which seems to be associated with especially high costs is the delay between onset of symptoms and diagnosis. Costs vary greatly between countries. [2]

- We also propose creating a section outlining organizations focused on advocacy for endometriosis. These include national resources, fundraising initiatives, and research efforts.
- “Organizations such as the Endometriosis Foundation of America, Endometriosis Research Center, and the Endometriosis Network Canada are just a few of the many organizations worldwide which are advocates of Endometriosis. These organizations offer patient resources, fundraising, awareness, advocacy, and research efforts for Endometriosis. [3][4][5]
