Anna Zakrisson (born 31.03.1980 in Sollentuna, Stockholm, Sweden)[1] is a Swedish science communicator and scientist living in Berlin.

Life

Zakrisson grew up in Stockholm. She moved to Fagersta Municipality in Västmanland County in 1988 and left Sweden in 1997 for journeys to California, Asia and Africa. She studied at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge and Stockholm University to receive her doctor's thesis 2015.[2] From 2004 to 2006 she also worked as a researcher for Max-Planck-Institute Cologne.[3] She is mother of a daughter, born 2009.[4] In 2012, she moved to Berlin and worked as a biologist[5] and for Charité.[1] [6] As of 2018, she is a resident of Berlin, Germany and works as a freelancer in science communication.

Science Communication

Zakrisson is a co-founder of the company Zageno and works as a biotechnical consultant there.[7] Zakrisson founded her platform Dr. Anna's Imaginarium in 2015.[8] [9]She also cooperated with a museum in the United Kingdom to advocate for early diagnostics.[10] She was a speaker at the German GWUP conference SkepKon in 2018.[11]
