Harshita Kashyap (born: 11 September 1993) is an Indian actress and model. Harshita has worked in numerous TV serials, Reality shows, Web Series and Bollywood movies.[1]
Although Harshita initially aspired to become a doctor, she accepted offers to join the Indian film industry, opportunities which arose as a result of her Splitsvilla Season 8 participation in the year 2015 on MTV[2]. She made her acting debut in the TV Serial Perfect Pati(2018) on &TV with famous Bollywood actress Jaya Prada.[3] She then made her web series debut in Paurashpur[4] of Zee 5 in December 2020.[5] Her next web series Zindagi Resetreleased on MX Player in 2022.[6]
Harshita's debut movie 3 Shyaane released in cinemas on 27th May 2022.[7]Her upcoming movie project Mandbuddhiis about to release anytime soon where she played the role of Suman.[8]
Early Life and Education
editBorn on September 11, 1993 in Delhi, Harshita did her schooling from Delhi Public School and New Delhi Convent School. She completed her graduation in Bachelor of Commerce Honors from Delhi University.
Career
editHarshita aspired to be a doctor in her early childhood but later developed interest in acting and modelling. She is a special jury member of Mrs. Punjaban International.[9]
Beginning (2014 - 2015)
editInitiated her career with print media through model shoots for fashion brands like Glitstreet and numerous fashion designers based in Delhi. She was associated with GlamBirds Entertainment and won Miss North India 2014 which was telecasted on Zoom TV.
Breakthrough (2015)
editShe got her breakthrough from the famous Reality TV Show MTV Splitsvilla 8 and became one of the famous youth personality.
Professional Expansion (2015 - 2018)
editHarshita started working as a model in various music albums in Punjabi Music Industry. One of her prominent music albums include Zindagi by Maninder Kailey[10]. Apart from this, she expanded her acting career with lead negative role in TV serieal "Perfect Pati"on &TV[11]. Along with this, she appeared in multiple ad films, one of which was for Tapzo Application[12]with Youtube star Bhuvan Bam. She also appeared in Tata Capital TV Commercial opposite Hardik Sanghani.
