Prof.Dr.Peeru Kannu Nazeer is an Indian Professor of Islamic History in a Government aided college afficliated to University of Kerala and an ardent researcher focused on minority affairs in India. He is currently working as the Principal of Mannaniya College of Arts and Science, Pangode, Kallara,Thiruvanathapuram. He received doctoral degree from the University of Kerala in educational development of Muslim minorities in Kerala. He was the former Director of Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala till 2016. He is a Research Guide in the University of Kerala in Islamic Studies under faculty of Social Science. He has authored five books, numerous research articles in acclaimed academic journals, news letters and periodicals to his credit.
