Mochipet is the stage name of Chinese-American electronic musician David Wang. In addition to writing and performing music, David is the founder of Daly City Records, an independent record label.

David Wang began performing his music using the name "Mochipet" in 2002, but it wasn't until 2006 that he first donned his signature purple dinosaur costume, which he toured Europe in three times. He now rotates between four different suits, including the original. [1]

Mochipet's piece "Dessert Search for Techno Baklava" was featured on 20 piece orchestra Alarm Will Sound's 2009 album a/rhythmia, and performed during their 2007-2008 concert season in venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Library of Congress.[2]
