Louis William Tomlinson (born Louis Troy Austin, born December 24th 1991) is a British singer, songwriter and producer who rose to fame in 2010 when he participated in the seventh series of the ITV talent show The X Factor and is also a member of production house aftrhrs. with childhood friend and writing partner Liam Payne.

Tomlinson achieved fame at the age of 18 when he auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, eventually finishing third and being signed by show boss Simon Cowell's Syco Records in a joint deal with Columbia Records. He released his debut album "Up All Night" in 2011 which was a success worldwide and led to further albums "In Case You Didn't Know", "Right Place, Right Time" and "Never Been Better" in 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively. He has become one of the most successful British artists of the century, breaking the notoriously difficult US market with all four of his studio albums debuting at #1 and has sold 70 million records worldwide since 2011.

In 2013, Tomlinson joined with his writing partner, long-time producer and childhood friend Liam Payne (also known as Payno) to form the new production house aftrhrs. who released their debut album New Eyes in 2014. A change in sound for Tomlinson, the duo produced an electronic/dance record which found most of its success in their native UK. They also jointly produced Tomlinson's 2014 record "Never Been Better" and reunited in 2015 for the release of a second record which was pushed back to 2016.
