Oruuano church Namibia

In the year 1955, Oruuano Church was formed in Namibia (Khanya,2010). The headquater of the Oruuano is situated in Windhoek, Namibia in the Khomas region.

"The first meeting took place in Windhoek, Namibia where oruuano church decided to break away from Rhenish Mission and later became Evangelical Lutheran Church. For a period those who remained in Rhenish Mission Church were faced with discrimination and even banned from becoming members of the Red Flag Club called Otjiserandu"(Khanya,2010).

"It was closely related to the Herero Chiefs Council under Hosea Kutako and his deputy Clemence Kapuuo" (Khanya,2010).[1]

Currently their are many branches of Oruuano Churches country wide. The Bishop responsible for Oruuano Church in Windhoek, Namibia is Assaria Kamburana.
