iNfernal Gamers
editTeam iNfernal Gamers tag (iG.) was founded in 2005 by Krzysiek "KermiT" Tarasiewicz with goal to create the best professional e-Sports clan in the world. Along with "Zeepje", "rAndy", "ShadOw", "Soko", and "Cr1sty" they first formed a 6 men team to play in leagues such as WGT-CL and BWCL to prove their skills to the world to attract more skilled players. "rAndy" was an ex-World Cyber Games competitor that was well-known in the StarCraft community. By 2007 iNfernal Gamers was able to get sponsorship from Razer USA and SteelSeries and the team moved from Europe Server to ICCup[1] Server to compete in more leagues. With its sponsorship team iNfernal Gamers attracted top Chinese players such as "JayStar", "JiFeng", "Super", and "ChinaTTT"[2]. By season 4 iNfernal Gamers were seeded in Division A (the highest placement) for the ICCup Clan League and on season 16, iNfernal Gamers won the league defeating team Los Reyes Del Mambo[3] 4 to 1 (8-4)[4]
With StarCraft 2 steamrolling StarCraft: Brood War out of the RTS scene, most of iG players either converted, went inactive, or retired. By December of 2010 managers of the team announced official retirement of the team iNfernal Gamers, final team record 146 wins to 90 losses[5], due to lack of players showing up to league tournaments following loss of Razer USA and SteelSeries sponsorship back in March of 2010.
