Born in Šibenik (Croatia) on 29th November 1992 and amazed by the diversity of living forms almost since then, I am an evolutionary biologist interested in various topics - molecular evolution (e.g. ancestral reconstruction of Last Eukaryotic Common Ancestor), cladistics (e.g. numerical taxonomy), systematics, nature conservation and anthropology (especially human evolution), and always looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm with students and colleagues. Comprehensive study of a group of pygmy grasshoppers (Orthoptera - family Tetrigidae), that have been here for already 200 milions years, resulted in numerous synonyms, and more than 30 species new to science. I started to study European and the Orthoptera of the Balkans during first years of the study in faculty. Grasshoppers are diverse group and great evolutionary model. I will try to implement some of my knowledge about some things to Wikipedia, so the public will have access to some information, mostly concerning systematics.
