Bette Noir is a bi-monthly comic book written by James Williamson and drawn by Isabella Marco, published from 01 January 2007 to 28 March 2008 by AK Comics and named for its central character, a 22 year-old expatriate African American mutant superheroine who pursues self-actualisation in Africa and the Middle East after her team of crime-fighting street dancers is massacred by gangsters.

The story used thinly-disguised characters from both DC Comics and Marvel Comics, and was involved in pre-litigation with the producers of Alchemy over the allegedly unauthorised use of the character of Bette.
