Taedeat is a swedish extreme metal band hailing from Umeå, Sweden. Their first two albums are considered belonging to the blackened death metal genre, but it is not known if possible future releases will stay within this genre.

History

The band was formed in 2002 and has since then managed to release two full length albums. The albums, We Bring the Fourth and Quademonium, were released on their own label Sheol Records and originally only printed in a limited edition of 500 copies. As of april 2010 the albums are however widely available on the popular music streaming service Spotify.

Through the years, members have come and gone, but the core of the band stood as a solid quartet made up by lead vocalist and bassist Martin Runnzell, guitarists Ronnie Björnström and Carl J. Svedjehed and drummer Daniel Marklind.

In late 2007, Taedeat entered their studio to record a demo of what was supposed to become their third full-length album, entitled [10:6-7]. The album was never released. Instead, due to unforeseen problems and unfortunate turn of events the band split.

Current

As of march 2010 Taedeats homepage was updated with the cryptic text "It's Returning", which in combination with the Spotify-releases would hint towards a reunion. The actual state of the band is however still inofficial as of now, but rumors has it they are experimenting within other metal subgenres. Current line-up is unknown.
