Amine Al-Hazzaz

Amine Al-Hazzaz, born on (1975-04-21)April 21, 1975 in Fez, is a Moroccan entrepreneur in the sector of new technologies. He is the founder and CEO of the startup accelerator Seven. He had a career in startups and multinational companies between North America, Asia, and Africa, before launching Hseven.

Origin and background

Amine Al-Hazzaz is the son of Mohammed Hazzaz [1], a goalkeeper for the Moroccan national soccer team that participated in the FIFA 1970 World Cup and won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1976. [2]

Amine Al-Hazzaz played basketball with the Maghreb de Fès club, where he was selected to attend the New York Knicks summer camp for young basketball players.

He went on to study Business Administration at the University of Sherbrooke in Canada [3] and then completed his education with executive programs at the Harvard Business School and Stanford University.

Amine Al-Hazzaz began his career in Canada, Silicon Valley and Japan where he participated in the creation of technology startups.

He has contributed to the strategies of several multinational companies operating in Africa and the Middle East while pursuing his entrepreneurial activities.

In 2013, he co-founded Endeavor Morocco with leaders such as Mostafa Terrab, Saïd Ibrahimi or even Walter Siouffi [4]. An organization he headed until the end of 2015.[5]

At the same time, he serves as a judge, mentor and speaker at several international innovative entrepreneurship events, including Techstars Startup Weekend, MIT Global Startup Workshop, The Founder Institute [6], Seedstars. [7] [8]

Amine Al-Hazzaz was the advisor special advisor in charge of Moroccan entrepreneurship and innovation policy development to Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy of Morocco.[9]

Amine ALHAZZAZ is a founding member of the Moroccan Start-up Ecosystem Catalysts association [10] and a founding member of the Moroccan Crowdfunding association [11]

Together with 6 other entrepreneurs, Amine Al-Hazzaz founded the startup accelerator Hseven. The accelerator aims to provide access to technology, access to expertise, and access to funding for African startups. [12].

Hseven is an innovation and entrepreneurship hub based in Casablanca, Morocco [13] and welcomes startups active in Africa.

It offers ideation, incubation and acceleration programs, and a platform that connects startups, large corporations and investors.
