No More Page 3 edit
In December 2013 it was announced that the club were to join forces and be sponsored by the No More Page 3 campaign[1][2][3]. Founded by Lucy-Anne Holmes, the campaign aimed to stop the British tabloid newspaper The Sun from publishing pictures of topless glamour models on its Page 3. A crowdfunding page was set up to help raise the £2,025 needed to enable both teams to wear a home shirt emblazoned with the "No More Page 3" slogan[4]. The crowdfunding was a huge success and raised a total £9,912[5].
For the remainder of the 2013/14 season and duration of the 2014/15 season, both the First and Development teams wore the shirts in support of the campaign and were not the only female football teams to do so. The likes of Nottingham Forest Ladies F.C also supported the campaign to rid The Sun of its Page 3[6].
