Supplements

  • Need to obtain from reputable source.
  • Many are made of inferior ingredients, and many contain contaminants.
  • Need to consider capsule material.
  • Many herbs sold in US (99%) come from countries where pesticides such as DDT and organophosphates are allowed to be used. Even those that may be grown organically may be fumigated to kill pests on the dried herbs. Ethylene oxide, for example.
  • Extracts of herbs are made using solvents such as hexane.
  • Supplements may contain many other ingredients other than the one you're intending to take (see list p 13, par 2, everlasting health (EH).
