Tono, Washington was a small mining town owned by Washington Union Coal Company to mine coal for Union Pacific Steam Locomotives. Situated About 20 miles south of Olympia, 5 miles south of [[Tenino, Washington Tenino]] 2 miles east of [[Bucoda, Washington Bucoda]] the town was built around 1899 and lasted until 1932 when the Bucoda Mining Company bought the property and closed the company that owned the general store, forcing the post office to close and dooming the town. Legend says that the Bucoda Mining Company discovered that the town sat on more coal than most of the surrounding area, which motivated them to "close" the town and mine the area[citation needed]. All that Remains of "Tono" Now is a single house and a Crossroads sign.

editHi, I'm just here from the english wikipedia, there's an article about St. Vasily/Basil Gryaznov that's missing heaps of information, pretty much everything on his missionary work etc (there's a short bio that stops at his teenage years and then picks up at his death). The article recently survived an AfD for being badly translated, and during the discussion the author posted several websites/wiki pages containing information (in Russian) about the saint. I was wondering/hoping if someone who can speak both Russian and english would be able to help in the translation, since there seems to be nothing avaliable in english. The four sources given were

St Vasily Gryaznov (1816 - February 16 1989), also known as holy Vasily, is a Russian saint, glorified in 1999 for living a merchant righteous life, "even when life known charyty".
Life
editGryaznov was born in the village of Evseevo Bogorodskogo County, know known as Pavlovo-Posadsky District. His father, Ivan Semenovich Basil, was a farmer and his mother, Evdokia Zaharovna, home schooled the children in subjects such as Chasoslovu and the Psalms, instilling a deep faith and love for God.
During his youth Vasily worked at a factory, where he fell under the influence of his workmates and began drinking wine and engaging in acts of vice and passion. He is said to have mourned his sins and asked for forgiveness many a time, before repeatedly falling under the pressure of the bad company he was associated with. In an act of desperation and frustration he recognised his mistakes by changing his name to Gryazny (Russian for “dirty”).
Vasily went onto perform missionary work among the elderly. He died in 1898 in Pavlovsky Posad.
Legacy
editFor his work and holy life Gryaznov was recognised as a local saint in 1999. He is praised throughout the Pavlovo-Posadsky District, particularly in the Pokrovsko-Vasilevskogo Monastery.
