I'm only here every know and then, hopefully sometime in the future I'll be able to come back and contribute some more....

Greetings all, if you haven't guessed it my name is Ryan. I'm here on wikipedia to contribute to one of the best initiatives of all times, and hopefully I'll learn a bit while I'm at it.

Feel free to check out my contributions. If you want to contact me, just leave a note on my talk page

Maybe I'll add a couple of views on deletion. I'm a moderate inclusionist, and I feel that many worthy articles are deleted everyday because people follow the guidelines too strictly and fail to apply equity to each case. Wikipedia is not a paper encyclopedia, and while I agree the line must be drawn to stop anything and everything getting in subjects which are notable to a smaller but definitive group of people (and remember notability is subjective) or which simply need a rewrite are regularly slayed. Some editors seem happy to add a speedy deletion tag or nominate something at AfD without actually trying to improve the article. So the next time you find a copyright violation, try getting addition sources, the next time you see an article which is poorly written try rewriting it, the next time you see an article which fails to assert notability google it and see just how notable it is, and see if you can't add a few links. It is only through this that we can turn wikipedia from a good encyclopedia into a great encyclopedia, our advantage over books like Britannica is that we don't have to pay by the page, lets not waste it...
