Donald W. Barden or Don Barden, is an American author, public speaker and behavioral economist.[2] He is the CEO of The Perfect Plan family of companies including 3Ci and Marketing33AD. Previously, he was the CEO and Managing Partner of DDS Financial, a global financial consultation, accounting and tax firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.[3]

Barden is the author of The Perfect Plan, a book combining studies of human behavior, financial and economic industry experience, and findings from Barden’s doctoral research. Barden's additional works include The Perfect Plan for IT Leadership and Why People Make The Decisions They Do.[4][5]

Barden also regularly contributes to radio and TV shows, blogs, and video discussions that are seen and read weekly in over 39 countries.[2][3]

Career

Barden earned his MBA in Global Technology Management and International Business with an undergraduate BBA in Economics and Finance from Kennesaw State University. He is ABD with a Ph.D. in Global Economics. Barden worked for companies including The Principal Financial Group and MetLife.[6] In 2004, he was appointed managing director of institutional sales for MassMutual Retirement Services.[7]

Barden was a Director at OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc.[8][9] from 2010 until 2012 when he went on to establish DDS Financial.[9]

He is also a trustee and previously served as the board chairman of the Summit Counseling Center, an Atlanta-based family resource center which provides over 7,000 clinical hours per year caring for people with mental issues.[10]

Personal life

Barden is a Christian and lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Lisa. They have three sons together.[1]
