None, other than contributing to the discussions in these areas. I considered contributing articles in my areas of interest but the lack of control over the content of the Wikipedia has lead me to decide not to do this.
The problem is the wiki's openness to vandalism and the large number of people with social causes who constantly vandalize the articles throughout the Wikipedia. For every article that has achieved Featured Article status, there are thousands that have been vandalized beyond hope and at least dozens for former Featured Articles that have been degraded to the point that they lost that status.
There is some discussion about this in the Wikipedia:Expert_Retention talk page. For me, the need for constant vigilance is a show-stopper. I don't have the time and don't want to accept the hassles of defending my work against vandals.
If the Wikipedia implements a rigorous system of review and approval for proposed changes, then I'll reconsider the decision not to contribute articles. If not, then not.
