Mike Battles, Sr.

Mike Battles was an American high school football coach primarily in Alabama for more than 40 years. He is originally from Sylacauga, Alabama and played collegiate football at Southern Mississippi University (1967-1969). He retired from coaching following the 2019 season. He received the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Alabama Football Coaches Association.[1] During his career he coached football in Alabama at Pell City, Walter Wellborn, HueytownCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page)., and B.B. Comer.[2] He also coached in Georgia at Irwin County High School and at Pascagoula High School in Mississippi. His overall record was 285-183-2.
