Beary began his racing career as an apprentice under Colonel Frederick McCabe[1] in Newmarket, Suffolk, UK home of the Newmarket Stakes then trained under Atty Persse at Stockbridge, Hampshire

Later Career

Beary kept riding into his mid 50's and then became a trainer. He died in a London hospital on October 8th, 1956. A mass was said for him in the Holy Souls Chapel, Westminster Cathedral[2] at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday 11th October, attended by his widow, Eve. He was buried at Epsom cemetery [3][4].
