This is a suggestion for Wikipedia:Template standardisation/article.

First of all, these templates need to have a clearly defined color palette. Amateur users generally don't have a good eye for color, as is evidenced by the mismatched shades on a lot of the nonstandard boxes. This is especially important on article template, which are on Wikipedia's "published" articles.

I have used the same pale blue background as the talk pages, which stands out against the white background, but incorporate sparkit's idea of the color bar to give some indication of urgency. The colors I have chosen are: red for delete, orange for content issues, yellow for style issues, and blue for informational notices (vs. action notices). I have left-aligned everything for easier scanning, and each box is the same size for stacking purposes. I retained the icons, as well, because I believe they aid scanning. Things I feel need to stand out more (spoiler mainly) take cues from the top-of-template design.

Really, I just want to see a clean, professional, consistent design. I am open to suggestions on placement, wording, etc. and such if there is a dispute.

Catchall right-side maintenance template edit

Usage: this is a flexible catch-all template set that puts maintenance issues in a single box.
After going through some cleanup templates, I realize that some of them definitely need further explanation. I have two ideas for dealing with details:
1. Use a show/hide to show/hide a message
2. Create a page like Wikipedia:Maintenance messages with subpages for each message, e.g. Wikipedia:Maintenance messages/Wikify, then link the short version in the maint box to the relevant subpage
