Sometime professional soldier, I'm now a part-time Historian (PhD) with broad (mainly military) interests, but specialising in Northwestern Europe and the Latin East in the High Middle Ages, including the crusades. Fortunate enough to have my own business that allows me to pursue my academic (and other) interests.
Other interests are horses, labradors, and trying to keep on top of various languages. I also love to read sci-fi, pseudo-medieval fiction, and well-researched history.
