Vaune Kirby Frechette is a Canadian-born film editor. She is sometimes credited as Vaune Kirby.
She is the daughter of film editor Peter Kirby. She was born in Toronto, but now resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.[1]
Frechette's filmography spans almost 30 years.
She has acted as assistant editor on All-Stars (2014), The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009), The Game Plan (2007), Beauty Shop (2005), New York Minute (2004), Old School (2003), The Whole Shebang (2001), Monkeybone (2001), Proof of Life (2000), Double Jeopardy (1999), Wrongfully Accused (2001), John Carpenter's Escape From L.A. (1996), Muppet Treasure Island (1996), Dolores Claiborne (1995), Coneheads (1993), Batman Returns (1992), The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), The Marrying Man (1991), Revenge (1990), Madhouse (1990), Midnight Run (1988), The Running Man (1987), Into the Night (1985), and Swing Shift (1984).
She is credited as main editor on her most recent film, Alien Trespass (2008) as well as the TV series Allegiance and Little Women, Big Cars. [2]
Her television credits include her work as an assistant editor on Blue Mountain State, Summer with Cimorelli, Ravenswood, The Fosters, Threshold, and The Magnificent Seven. She also edited several TV movies including Mean Girls 2 (2011), Wright vs. Wrong (2010), Sleepwalker Killing: From the Files of (1997) and California Girls (1985).[3]
At the beginning of her career, she worked as an apprentice editor on films such as The Blues Brothers (1980) and Modern Problems (1981).
