The GP Political Party of NZ (GPOD) is a proposed conservative liberal political party in New Zealand. The party started as a discussion on the Gameplanet forums.
The Pirate Party of New Zealand hopes to contest the 2011 General Election, and is currently attempting to recruit the 500 financial members necessary for registration.
Policies of the party include fair use movement relating to sharing and distribution of copyrighted material on the internet, liberalisation of recreational drugs, more conservative stratagem regarding womens rights and buyback of land from indigenous peoples.
