Trump Administration Border Wall refers to Donald Trump's directing of US governmental efforts towards the creation of a physical barrier Mexico/United States physical barrier[1] to supplant and/or add onto the current Mexico/United States barrier.

Throughout his 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump called for the construction of a much larger and fortified wall along the Mexico–United States border, and pledged to have Mexico pay for its construction, estimated at $10 to $12 billion.[citation needed] Trump estimated the cost of the wall at $8 billion. Mexican president Peña Nieto said that Mexico would not pay for the wall.[2]
On January 25, 2017, the Trump administration issued an executive order to directing the Department of Homeland Security to begin construction of a wall on the Mexico–United States border.[1] President Trump also increased border patrol and immigration officers, as well as reducing grant funding to sanctuary cities and changing deportation standards.[3]

Trump's wall proposal has generated polarized responses. Several slogans such as "Build Bridges Not Walls"[4] have been used to highlight the main reasons for opposition to the wall.
Supporters of the proposal coined political slogans in support of the wall during Donald Trump's presidential campaign, among them "The wall just got ten feet higher"[5][6] and "build the wall"[7]. Trump supporters often used Trump's own grandiose language when describing the wall.[8][9]
