I am, like many, a long-time Wikipedia user. As of June 2024, I had finally made an actual account and signed up for Wikipedia.

A Brief Biography

edit

Born in the late 80s, I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago as a typical Millennial in the 1990s. I have always been a relatively introverted individual as well as on the nerdier side of things. This allowed me to develop all my hobbies I have now, well into my 30s.

I have become someone that really has a passion for working with my hands. I have found a love not long after I graduated High School in 2007 for making things, be it digital or a physical form of crafting. This hobby of creating allowed me to discover an entire culture of Makers. One of the most well know makers I was already familiar with from a popular show called MythBusters, was one of the co-hosts, Adam Savage. I have learned a lot simply from following his YouTube content alone.

I picked his book, Every Tool's a Hammer: Life Is What You Make It[1], which only fueled my excitement as an aspiring maker even further. In his show MythBusters, failure was a topic that often came up and in an early episode Adam Savage's saying of "failure is always an option"[2], became one of the show's most popular themes. And also became a motivational piece on a large sticker I keep on my workbench as a reminder that failure is necessary and is the only way to improve upon your goals.

I continue to pave a way for my life to revolve around being a maker in some way. I continue to explore and experiment with anything that catches my eye. And in time, I aim to have it become what I do for a living.

Hobbies:

Making things via various mediums include sculpting, woodworking, prop making, 3D printing, mold making, and everything in between. If it involves making something from scratch, I am already intrigued.

My hobbies consist of making and crafting things in both a digital form and physical form using the tools of a workshop and a computer.

Being in a band that is heavily influenced by 90s grunge rock, as well as many other musical elements including sounds that became popular in the 1980s.

Video games, movies and television are my nerdy choices of story telling and an evening of winding down. Some particular favorite genres of mine include Science fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and Post-apocalypse.
