Cherry Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is one of William Penn's original gridded streets.[1] It is well known for being a major street in Philadelphia's Chinatown and the Cherry Street Tavern and is one of the historic streets in Center City, Philadelphia.[1]

Unlike neighboring Arch and Race Streets, the street name did not change, although the street has been aggregated from other streets as follows:[2]

  • Elfreths Street in 1897 Front to 2nd Sts
  • Fetter Street in 1897 Bread to 3rd Sts.
  • Hill Street W. of 3rd St.
  • Howell Street in 1897 32nd to 34th Sts.
  • Fetter Street in 1897 Bread to 3rd Sts.
