editSnapfon was founded in 2003 in Chattanooga, TN by Phil Sieg and Rich Mak as a specialty cell phone provider for seniors, visually impaired, and hard of hearing clients in the USA. Originally started as Visikey, which sells large font keyboard overlays, the company soon extended its sales into senior phones to Latin markets and began offering its phones through local service providers in Latin America countries.
