This is a list of names from One Thousand Men, a book about noteworthy citizens of Vermont, by Dorman B. E. Kent, 1915 (OCR'd version at archive.org). OCR errors in the source are duplicated here; in some cases, that caused more errors with the automatic parsing. Please consult the original scan here.

This is a somewhat messy list, which I am gradually cleaning. List-cleaning involves two components: making sure that the names in OTM are the names in Wikipedia (fixing OCR glitches), and making sure that the bluelinked names in Wikipedia represent the same people as in OTM.

Being in OTM is a pretty good (though not definitive) indicator of notability, so feel free to create articles based on redlinks. However, PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE BLUELINKED NAMES; rather, add a checkmark ({{checkmark}}). Do not add checkmarks to bluelinks without first verifying that the Wikipedia page refers to the same person as the original OTM text. If the bluelink does not lead to the right article, do some searching – maybe the right article exists under a slightly different name. Either way, just add a disambiguation tag.
