Dr. Tanmay Goswami is an academic administrator currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Sanskriti University in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. With a focus on improving healthcare in society, Dr. Goswami has held various positions and responsibilities in this field. For over 21 years, he has been the head of the GOSVAL AYURMED institute in Udupi, which has branches in Moscow, Chicago, and Almaty. Under his leadership, the institute has become a recognized center of excellence in Ayurveda education and healthcare at the local, state, national, and international levels.
Dr. Goswami has played a key role in developing and overseeing Ayurveda centers in Moscow and Chicago, as well as an Ayurveda Health Resort in Udupi, Karnataka. He has established Memoranda of Understanding with international organizations, industries, prestigious institutes, and NGOs to promote skill development and research. As a member of the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, he has actively encouraged and supported research and higher education in the AYUSH fraternity.
During his tenure, Dr. Goswami introduced an international cell for practitioners of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) and initiated financial assistance for research and publications. As an advisor on Ayurveda to the Quality Council of India, he has contributed to improving standards and safety in Ayurveda and healthcare practices. His expertise has been sought by numerous international organizations for the development of Ayurveda globally.
Furthermore, Dr. Goswami is involved in shaping India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, particularly in the integration of Indian Vedic education into multidisciplinary higher education programs, including Ayurveda, engineering, management, and agriculture. His aim is to provide education that combines Indian values with India's socio-cultural background, fostering skilled youth capable of contributing to local and global growth.
Governance Credentials: As Member of CCIM, he was instrumental in bringing minimum standard regulations for ISM colleges and hospitals in having AYUSH faculty to standardize and bring uniformity of education pan India. He updated Ayurveda education system by convening the reformation in policy and restructuring of curriculum and syllabus to prevail over the global healthcare challenges.
Research Credentials: To bring prospective advances and synergize collaborative research in health sciences, Govt of India, Ministry of AYUSH has inducted Dr Goswami in its apex body, Central Council of Research in Ayurveda Sciences (CCRAS) as member of Scientific Advisory Board.
Professional Credentials: His expertise in Ayurveda Panchakarma all over the years benefitted sufferers and has expertise in medicalastrology as a diagnostic tool since last 21 years practiced Ayurveda practice at Udupi, Mangalore, MoscowRussia, Chicago, USA. Has professionally trained thousands of Ayurveda clinicians, specialists and superspecialists through his academic and clinical services over the last 21 years.
Social Impacts: Dr. Tanmay Goswami is a firm believer in the importance of a healthy society for national development. To promote this vision, he has pioneered a movement through live clinic programs on television, emphasizing the concept of preventive measures and maintaining health in individuals. He has delivered discourses and retreats on healthy living, wisdom, lifestyle, and diet regimes in numerous schools, colleges, and organizations, both in Udupi and internationally. His notable engagements include special remarks in UAE, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, France, USA, Russia, and Ukraine. These initiatives have benefited millions of individuals, positively influencing their well-being and significantly contributing to nation-building through India's rich medical heritage, thus leveraging India's soft power on the global stage.
Throughout his career, Dr. Goswami has utilized mass media platforms such as print and visual media to raise awareness and inspire healthy living habits among the general public. He has actively promoted the practice of Ayurvedic principles in daily life.
