Most Wins in a single year

edit

The two Electric Worlds that competitors managed to achieve are double header events held in a single week. As nitro events are standalone events requiring 9 days to run, no drivers has managed to achieve this in a single year though Art Carbonnell backed his 1981 IC Track win with a 1:12 Electric Track win in 1982 when at the time, the latter was in its inaugural year and until 1985, only one class was offered annually. Only Atsushi Hara came close to this, managing to achieve a hat trick of three podium finishes in a single year (2nd in 1:10 ISTC, 2nd in 1:10 Nitro Touring Car and 3rd in 1:8 Off-road).[164]

Drivers who won in different disciplines

edit

As explained, nitro and electric and on and off-road cars require different type of driving and drivers are required to adapt to them, usually in a short space of time. Only three drivers have managed to combine wins in on and off-road cars and three in nitro and electric cars. Only Hara have managed to cross discipline them all together.[167][nb 6]
