Diomedes Raul Bermudez (born February 17,1975) is an American screenwriter and producer.

Career

Born in College Station, Texas, Bermudez moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 5. A graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, with a degree in Creative Writing, Bermudez wrote for various publications including the Miami Herald, Ocean Drive Magazine and the Source, before creating, Spannk, an arts and lifestyle magazine.

Bermudez and hip mogul 50 Cent co-wrote an action/thriller, TOMORROW TODAY, that 50 Cent announced at the Sundance Film Festival 2011. 50 Cent, Randall Emmett, and boxing great, Floyd Mayweather, are producers on the film which is currently in development.

In 2015 Bermudez is credited as Co-Producer for the film, Chronically Metropolitan, directed by Xavier Manrique and written by Nicholas Schutt, Executive Produced by David Frankel, and produced by Jamin O'Brien and the Film Community starring Mary Louise Parker, Chris Noth, Ashley Benson, Shiloh Fernandez, Addison Timlin, Josh Peck, and Rhys Coiro. The film is scheduled to premiere in 2016.

Bermudez is currently producing his first, feature film, MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES, which is based on his life growing up in Miami, in the dangerous worlds of marijuana grow houses, Art Basel, underground graffiti artists, and nefarious night club owners. The project is currently in development. Producers on the project are Jamin O'Brien, The Film Community, David Ortiz, and Alexis du Beaumont.
