DevAlt is used so Dev920 doesn't have a massively inflated edit count because she decides it's a good idea to, say, tag all 6000 LGBT articles with the WikiProject LGBT studies Assessment banner. This account is also used to nominate FACs which their actual writers either couldn't or wouldn't, and which Dev920 does not want to be conflated with her own work.
