About me edit

My name is Donald[1] Clark[2] Charest[3] and I'm from   Quebec (and still residing there). I speak Quebec French, English, Scots language and International French. I was born in Val d'Or, Abitibi-Témiscamingue; then at the age of five I moved to Sherbrooke, a city situated in the Eastern Townships. On the 1st of July 2008, I moved into Montreal and I've been living there ever since. I've been interested in linguistic these past years and been studying the IPA. I love to wiki the most about history and science-related subjects. (More to come.)

I have been very busy recently with foldit as a leader for the group named foldeRNA. The group was created in January of 2011. We are now ranked 3rd globally. I've been reading up on organic chemistry and biochemistry a lot more since 2008.

Meanings of my names edit

  1. ^ Donald an Anglo-saxon variant of the gaelic name 'Domnall' or 'Domhnall' which is two celtic words put together each meaning 'world' and 'rule'. There is a Donald and MacDonald clan originating in western scotland.
  2. ^ Clark is a Scottish surname meaning cleric or/and clerk.
  3. ^ Charest is a French surname. The most likely origin for this word is the French word 'Charrette', which translates into 'cart'. It is well speculated that this title was given to a person involved with carts, possibly a carter.
