This will be a repository of my notes for the development of the Enochian section of wikipedia.
Metaphysical Events edit
While most of the exercises were conducted with Kelly acting as the scry there were several events Dee himself witnessed first hand:
- The appearance of madimi
- The floating scry stone
- Burning of books of the journal to have them reappear on his desk
(comment: If you close-read the accounts of this episode it seems that Dee was himself not witness to the burning of the books. It was conducted by Kelley and Laski. It is not clear that Dee saw the mysterious "gardener" and the column of flame in the garden either, that led Kelley to "rediscover" the books) (Emetflux 12:51, 31 August 2007 (UTC))
Historical Account edit
Garden of Felicity/Eden edit
- Man was created in the garden of eden with knowledge of all things and spoke with god directly.[1]
- Man was attacked by coronzon, who succeeded. Man was cast out from the garden of eden and lost his understanding of the world.[1]
- Adam was punished and cast out into the world taking all wickedness with him through his deeds. At this time the lord gave the world its angelic keepers watchmen and princes.[2]
- When first cast out Adam learned language out of necessity. Using the best knowledge he had of god and his good creatures he formed the beginnings of the Hebrew language. However the true pronunciation and forms of the letters have been lost since Adams time, leaving only present day Hebrew.[3]
Time of Enoch edit
- For the first time since the fall of Adam god gave Enoch the wisdom of the use of the earth, and to judge the earth saying: "Let us show unto Enoch the use of the earth. And lo, Enoch was wise and full of the spirit of wisdom"[4]
- Enoch prayed to god 3 times a day for 50 days. At the end of the 50 days something was manifested to Enoch, and Enoch "enjoyed the fruit of god, his promise, and received the benefit of his faith". Enoch wrote this wisdom down in a book he called "Let those that fear god and are worthy read".[5]
Loss of Enoch's knowledge edit
- The people became wicked, and those unworthy began to read from Enoch's book saying: "What is it that we can not do, & who is he that can resist us?"[6]
- The Lord, vexed, sent out 150 spirits of error and deceit to the kings of the earth. The Lord put them between the wicked and his good angels. These spirits began to counterfeit and distort Enoch's wisdom until the wisdom was lost.[6]
Unsorted edit
- The devil imitates god's work in many ways including characters and signs. All that use them will become partakers in the devil's eternal damnation.[6]
- Satan knows his time is at hand, when his time comes he will not be found anywhere in the world.[7]
